JPV NEXA
Privacy Notice
Draft prepared 9 October 2026 · applies when this website version is published
This notice explains the newsletter signup, private feedback, enquiries and external content on jpvnexa.com.
Who is responsible
José Paulo Viana, trading as JPV NEXA, based in Maia, Portugal, is responsible for the personal information collected for these purposes. Contact contact@jpvnexa.com for privacy questions or to exercise your rights.
Email updates
Signup collects your email address and your consent to receive JPV NEXA articles, guides and video updates. Brevo processes the form and manages the mailing list on our behalf. Signup and confirmation records may include timestamps, technical request information and consent evidence. We use consent as the legal basis for these optional updates. You are added to the selected subscriber list only after confirming the email sent to you. Reading the website and sending feedback do not require a subscription.
Use the unsubscribe link in an update or contact us to withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully. Brevo is a service provider; its account does not give it permission to add you to unrelated JPV NEXA lists.
Feedback and enquiries
The feedback form prepares a draft in your own email application. This website does not receive or store your rating or message. Nothing is sent until you send that email. Your email provider then sends your address, rating and any message to JPV NEXA. This is private feedback, not anonymous feedback. Please omit sensitive personal information, confidential client information and documents.
We use received feedback to improve our educational content and respond where appropriate, on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing relevant content and handling correspondence. Enquiries about a proposed service may also be processed to take steps at your request before entering a contract. Feedback does not subscribe you to the newsletter. We will request permission before publishing an identifiable quotation. The website does not currently calculate automatic ratings or page-view totals.
Retention
We retain active newsletter subscriptions while providing the requested updates, subject to periodic review. Unsubscribed addresses are excluded from marketing; limited suppression and consent records may be retained to honour your choice and address compliance enquiries. Routine feedback and enquiries are reviewed for deletion after 24 months from the last relevant interaction, unless continued correspondence, a contract, a legal obligation or a dispute requires longer retention. Brevo may retain technical or service records under its own applicable terms. You may contact us for details about a specific record.
Service providers and international processing
Brevo handles newsletter data; website hosting and email providers handle the technical data needed to deliver their services. YouTube and LinkedIn process information under their own terms when you use their features. Some providers or their subprocessors may process data outside the European Economic Area. Applicable transfer arrangements depend on the provider and service; see Brevo’s Privacy Policy and contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.
Website technologies and security
This version adds no advertising trackers, analytics cookies or visitor accounts. The newsletter form contacts Brevo when you submit it. YouTube players load when you choose playback; those external services may use cookies and similar technologies. Hosting providers may process technical request information for delivery and security. We limit collection to the purposes described here and use the available access and transport protections of the selected services. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw newsletter consent. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. You can also complain to Portugal’s supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), or another competent supervisory authority. We do not use the signup or feedback features for decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Content and independence
JPV NEXA provides independent advisory and educational commentary. No institutional endorsement is implied. Publishers retain their rights in referenced materials. Linking to our articles and videos is welcome; reproduction of original content requires permission except where permitted by law.
